Juan Martín Benavides

Juan Martín se desempeña como Escribiente en el Juzgado Nacional de Ejecución Penal N.° 1, donde supervisa el cumplimiento de condenas de ejecución condicional.

En el ámbito académico, es ayudante en las materias Elementos del Derecho Internacional Público y Discapacidad y Sistema Penal Argentino en la UBA. A su vez, es el Secretario General del Modelo de Naciones Unidas de la Facultad de Derecho y participa en un proyecto de investigación sobre la Inteligencia Artificial y sus implicancias en la democracia.

A lo largo de su carrera ha tenido una destacada participación en competencias internacionales: formó parte del equipo ganador del IV Concurso Regional de Alegatos y Simulación en Derecho Internacional Humanitario (2024) y del equipo que representó a la UBA en el National Model United Nations en Nueva York (NMUN-NY 2024), donde obtuvieron el premio a la “Delegación Destacada”. En 2025, fue galardonado con el reconocimiento de “Estudiante Destacado” de la UBA.

Juan Martín es abogado por la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), con orientación en Derecho Internacional Público.

Juan Martín serves as a law clerk at the National Court of Criminal Execution No. 1, where he oversees the compliance and enforcement of suspended and conditional sentences.

In the academic sphere, he is a Teaching Assistant at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) for the courses Elements of Public International Law and Disability and the Argentine Penal System. Additionally, he serves as the Secretary-General of the Faculty of Law’s Model United Nations and actively participates in a research project exploring Artificial Intelligence and its implications for democracy.

Throughout his career, he has achieved outstanding recognition in international competitions. He was a member of the winning team at the IV Regional Humanitarian International Law Moot Court Competition (2024), as well as the UBA delegation at the National Model United Nations in New York (NMUN-NY 2024), where they received the "Distinguished Delegation" award. In 2025, he was honored with the UBA "Outstanding Student" award.

Juan Martín holds a Law Degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), specializing in Public International Law.
